Chris Staszak is a serial entrepreneur, technology leader, and startup advisor with over 30 years of experience spanning software architecture, development, and leadership roles across startups, growth-stage companies, and Fortune 500 organizations.
His software career began in 1983 as a precocious teenager with a shiny new Apple IIe. In 1998, his first pitch and fundraise secured a $4 million investment from the Novell Venture Fund for an e-commerce software company.
From 2019 to 2024, Chris served as President and Chief Technology Officer at LogicBoost Labs, a San Diego–based accelerator for early-stage B2B SaaS companies. He oversaw daily operations, mentored founders, coordinated expert teams, conducted hands-on technical due diligence, and introduced stage-appropriate process maturity—helping startups build scalable products, avoid common pitfalls, and hit critical growth milestones.
Earlier in his career, he co-founded Semantic Research, Inc., developing large-scale data analytics, advanced graph analytics, and advanced knowledge representation software for mission-critical national security and law enforcement customers. He later joined the MusicMatch team, where he built music recommender systems. Following its acquisition by Yahoo!, he managed engineering teams and contributed to global-scale products including Yahoo! Music and Yahoo! Mail. Chris is named on three U.S. patents.
Chris has served in board, board observer, and advisory roles for numerous startups, providing guidance on strategy, product direction, and operations.
Stazelabs is the consultancy arm of Chris’s work—helping early-stage startups overcome critical technology and operational challenges. Through close collaboration with founders, Stazelabs refines product architecture, streamlines processes, and accelerates growth, delivering hands-on, practical solutions that bridge the gap between vision and execution.
